Cooking Tip:
This is a perfectly hearty soup by itself and a great way to use up leftover holiday hams/meats.
A great fall/winter, or transitional season recipe with dry split pea from the pantry.
Nutritious and Delicious:
Dense in micro-nutrients and high in trace minerals like manganese (contributes to good thyroid health), potassium (hearth health and lowers blood pressure), and magnesium (helps with stress, anxiety, and getting a good night’s sleep). Split peas make this soup a wonderful cold day comfort food that’s both satisfying and good for you!
